Introduction This week’s activity requires you to create a PowerPoint presentation (or Prezi if you prefer). The activity itself will make you think about the visual art of a presentation as you attempt to persuade the way people think about visual art. Activity Instructions You have been asked to make a presentation to the local school board about the importance of studying visual arts. In a budget cutting move, they are considering eliminating art classes from the middle school and high school curriculum. Your task is to persuade them that making such a decision would be a mistake and to explain why. Presentation Requirements (MLA format) At least 10 slides, not including the title slide and the works cited/bibliography slide Use at least 24 point font Incorporate best practices for creating PowerPoint slides Use MLA format for in-text citations and list of references. Grading and Assessment This assignment will be graded using the Master of Humanities PowerPoint Presentation Rubric. Course Learning Outcome(s): 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 1.
